Sawyer and Olivia both visited Panama City Beach for the first time! We had a great trip with Grams, Nana Carolyn, Aunt Judy, Aunt Susan, Katie, Alli, and Sarah.
Sawyer was very out-numbered, with nine girls and him being the only boy, but he didn't seem to mind at all! He was a champ in the ocean! He loved the water and he and I ventured out to the first sand bar a couple of times. He kept saying, "mommy please protect me from the jellyfish!" There were a lot of jellyfish to look out for, but other than that, the water was really clear, safe, and beautiful. The first day we were there the life guard warned that a hammerhead had been spotted and to be careful, but we never saw one.
I think this will be the first beach trip that Olivia will be able to remember. She has been to the beach at Antayla, Turkey and at Daytona Beach, FL, but she was only a baby on both of those trips. She absolutely loved the sand and played and played and played in it. She didn't mind it getting all in her hair and bathing suit...in fact, she purposefully put it in her hair!! And when she was first discovering sea shells she tried to take a bite to see what they tasted like. And at snack time whenever she dropped her snacks on the beach, she just ate it right off the sand without any problems. She was constantly cracking us all up! We discovered how well she tans...not sure where she gets that from because you all know what Eric and I look like!:) We made some great memories!
